issue 3 of the official @girlscarryingshit magazine is about using mantras, manifestations, and signs from the universe to bring yourself (back) to life. it's about reacquainting yourself with your own magic through the magic of whatever higher power you put your faith in. it's about holding a mirror up to the sky and seeing what catches the light. maybe it's god, maybe it's the universe, or maybe it's just the sky — if it resonates with you, does it matter what it's called? does it matter if it's "real"?

simply put, issue 3 is a lot of words from non-men about our complicated relationships with the higher powers of our choosing. it also seeks to propose an alternate form of faith rooted in the science-backed practice of gratitude, the superstition of good luck, and the spiritual practice of manifestation. 

at the center of it all is a very special conversation with gabi abrão (@sighswoon) about her book notes on shapeshifting, the power of social media in manifesting our desires, and a question we think about daily at gcs: to show face or not to show face?
